Emily Heinkel
My name is Emily, and I am the artist behind Wild and Well Photography. I am a lifestyle, portrait photographer based in Nashville, TN.
My work is bright, with rich tones, and dynamic images that include movement and human interactions. There is nothing mechanical about my work. Natural light and "play" inspired posing are my greatest tools.
This art has been a steady practice that I’ve grown into and grown with. I started with a 35mm Yashica Electro 35 in middle school.
First and foremost, I am a mother of two and a wife. Photography is a way to fulfill my deep need to create and grow while supporting my family.
Though I’ve worked in different fields and have lived out many different roles in my life, I’ve always managed to incorporate photography. Because it matters. And because I love it.
My goal in any portrait session is to deliver photos that make my subjects say, “Wow, that’s unmistakably me,” and in the same breath, “I’m beautiful.”
The name “Wild and Well,” was inspired by the joy I get from wild flowers and the contentment I receive from wandering around in fields, cities, coastlines with my camera and no where to be.
